The El Perezoso Botanical Garden is an ecological space in the central jungle of Peru. It offers trails surrounded by sculptures, local fauna, and medicinal plants.

We are the first Botanical Garden in Latin America recognized for its contribution to the conservation of Andean biodiversity. This recognition was granted by the Andean Parliament.

Where exactly is El Perezoso located? +
The El Perezoso Botanical Garden is located on the Oxapampa Highway, at the Pueblo Pardo bus stop, 10 km from La Merced, in Chanchamayo. You can easily reach it by car or mototaxi from the center of La Merced. Access is direct and signposted.
How long does the journey take? +
The tour lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the pace of the group.
What does the ticket include? +
The entrance fee includes access to the botanical garden, a guided tour, and areas for taking photographs.
Is it possible to visit with small children? +
Yes, it's a family-friendly and safe place for children of all ages. For your convenience, it's recommended to avoid bringing cars, as some paths can be uneven or narrow.
